As Turkey’s first and only congress for the polyurethane industry, the Putech Technical Polyurethane Congress and Exhibition will highlight the latest advancements in polyurethane, a material essential to a wide range of sectors.
The Putech Technical Polyurethane Congress and Exhibition, organized in collaboration with Chem Media and POLYDER (Polyurethane Industry and Importers Association), will take place on November 6-7, 2024, at the Pullman Istanbul Hotel Convention Center. As Turkey’s first and only congress for the polyurethane industry, this prestigious event will bring together the leading players of the polyurethane industry.
Academia-Industry Collaboration
The Putech Congress will host leading companies and academics in the polyurethane industry over two days. The congress will emphasize academia-industry collaboration, providing a platform for in-depth discussions on the future of the polyurethane industry, as well as sustainable and innovative solutions through technical presentations and industry-focused panels by expert speakers. The congress will feature 34 speakers in total, including four keynote speakers. It will consist of five sessions and a panel discussion, with 24 presentations focused on the polyurethane industry and the latest developments in the field.
Keynote speakers at the congress include Christopher Metz, President of ISOPA (The European Trade Association for the Producers of Diisocyanates and Polyols); Katie Tofts, Project Manager at IAL Consultants; Senem Gülden, Director of Commercial Market Development and Sustainability at BASF, and Prof. Dr. İskender Yılgör from Koç University. Ümmühan Eker, R&D Manager at DowAksa -one of the world’s leading producers of carbon fiber- will also participate as a speaker at the Putech Congress.

Under the motto “Polyurethane in Every Aspect of Life,” the Putech Congress will provide a unique platform for industry professionals to exchange insights. It will highlight the latest advancements in polyurethane, a material essential to a wide range of industries including automotive, foam, white goods, furniture, construction, medical, textiles, flooring, and marine applications.
IKMIB (Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association) is the main cooperation partner of the Putech Congress, with Kimpur participating as a sponsor.
