ISOPA along with CPI offer insight into the polyurethanes industry in Europe and the United States to Korean counterparts. The conference was followed by the annual Global PU Association working group.

Secretary General of ISOPA, Jörg Palmersheim, was invited to present the latest update on the proposed restriction of diisocyanates under REACH by the German Authorities to a conference of approximately 60 members of the Korean PU society. Lee Salamone, Director of CPI in the US, also gave a key note speech to present the activities of CPI in the US.
Following the conference, the annual Global PU Association working group meeting took place where important regulatory issues were discussed at length. In addition to this, global issues facing the polyurethanes industry were discussed – the recent tragedy in Grenfell Tower included. The group will reconvene next year in Europe at UTECH 2018 which will be held in late May in Maastricht.
