ISOPA and ALIPA launch new website on the proposed restriction on diisocyanates under REACH

Brussels, 31 October — ISOPA and ALIPA publish today a new website on the safe use of diisocyanates: www.safeusediisocyanates.eu. The new webpage aims at informing about the regulatory process on the proposed restriction on diisocyanates under REACH.

In the framework of the on-going regulatory discussions, ISOPA and ALIPA, the trade associations representing the manufacturers of the substance, decided to gather in one single portal detailed information about diisocyanates: the different applications and value chain; the longstanding voluntary initiatives of the industry as well as a summary of the current regulatory discussions.

ISOPA and ALIPA have always been strongly committed to the promotion of the safe use and handling of diisocyanates at the workplace and invite all relevant stakeholders to visit the website to stay up-to- date.

Jörg Palmersheim, Secretary General of ISOPA and ALIPA stated his satisfaction with this new communications tool: “as the REACH restriction dossier moves forward in the regulatory process we thought it would be useful to gather in one single portal all initiatives we have carried out in the past years to reach an adequate protection level for workers in the diisocyanate value chain.”
