ISOPA committed to promote the Safe Use of Diisocyanates in Africa and Middle-East

ISOPA and their member companies are strongly committed to promote the Safe Use and Handling of Diisocyanates in Africa and Middle-East

ISOPA, the European Diisocyanates and Polyols Producers Association together with their members held a one-day Product Stewardship Workshop in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Under ONE STEP AHEAD, part of our Product Stewardship program, ISOPA organized this full-day workshop focused on the safe use of diisocyanates. The event brought together experts from ISOPA Member Companies and key industry players to discuss various aspects of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). Topics covered included the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), best practices for handling diisocyanates in the workplace, and further information on ISOPA’s safety training platform, www.safeusediisocyanates.eu.

The workshop was well attended, with a full room of participants eager to engage in these vital safety discussions. ISOPA and our Member Companies are proud to contribute to raising awareness and reinforcing the importance of health and safety standards within the polyurethane industry, both in the European Union and around the world. The event underscored our industry’s unwavering commitment to achieving the highest safety standards.

Looking ahead, ISOPA remains dedicated to promoting health and safety across the polyurethane sector. We will continue to offer valuable resources through our training platform, share best practices for handling diisocyanates safely during shipping and storage, and provide additional materials such as digital videos and posters to support EHS communications in the workplace.
