ISOPA provides information and expert advice based on research and data about the health & safety profile of diisocyanates and polyols. Together with the International Isocyanates Institute (III) - of which all ISOPA companies are also members - ISOPA promotes product stewardship of polyurethane raw materials toluene diisocyanates (TDI) & methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI).
The III has carried out research for over 40 years. During this time it has conducted over +200 studies on TDI & MDI and their precursors, published more than +70 peer-reviewed papers in the fields of health & toxicology, epidemiology, risk assessment, combustibility, medical guidelines for TDI & MDI and related analysis.
