ISOPA appoints new leadership team

ISOPA’s General Assembly elected the association’s new President and Vice- President.

After 2 years as ISOPA’s Vice-President, Mike Fowles, from Huntsman, succeeds Frank Grunert, and will serve as the Association’s President. Mike Fowles is Vice-President, Global Supply Chain for Huntsman Polyurethanes and a member of its global leadership team. In his 30 year- career, he has served ICI Polyurethanes in many different roles, including MDI product development; project and asset management; regional commercial management (India and Middle East); and global sales & operations planning.

Mike brings his international experience to the management of Isocyanates; has lived and worked in the UK, Holland, Belgium, and the USA.

Frank Jungmann, from BASF, was appointed ISOPA’s New Vice-President. He currently serves as Vice President for the Business Management Isocyanates at BASF for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Frank has spent the last seven years in the polyurethanes industry, having served his company in a series of divisions ranging from Polyurethane systems for the automotive, footwear, and CASE segment to Polyurethane basic product and pre-cursor business of Isocyanates and Polyols.

Frank started his professional career with BASF in 1996, in the fields of Chemical Intermediates, Automotive and Industrial Coatings and Management Consulting. He has been one of BASF’s executives, driving superior project execution and performance across the business, holding various international management and leadership functions within BASF Group in Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America.

“As our industry evolves, Mike and Frank have both the leadership and the experience to deliver on our commitments to our customers, and concretely demonstrate how our industry promotes the highest standards of best practice in the distribution and use of diisocyanates and polyols. They will serve as excellent ambassadors for ISOPA in highlighting how polyurethanes help fulfil society’s present and future needs,” underlined Jörg Palmersheim, ISOPA’s Secretary General.
